IMPORTANT HOUSING INFORMATION
If you are interested in housing for the upcoming semester, you may complete the housing application by following these steps below:
1. Go to http://gp.vardagslan.com & click “THEE PORTAL”
2. Click “STUDENT PAWS”
3. Log into the Portal.
- User Name Example: oneJ01234567
- Password: NET ID password
4. Click “STUDENT ACCOUNTS & SERVICES”
5. Click “HOUSING & MEAL”
6. Click “HOUSING APPLICATION”
7. Click “APPLY” beside the application term you are wanting to apply for.
8. Follow the instructions provided in the application and once you’ve completed the application, click “SUBMIT.”

RETURNING STUDENTS – Please ensure the following items are completed by April 4, 2024:
Step 1: Complete your Fall 2024 Housing Application.
Step 2: Enroll in at least 12 credit hours as an undergraduate / 9 hours as a graduate student. The JSU Financial Aid office has received your FAFSA for the upcoming academic year. Student has received immunization clearance from JSU Student Health Services.
Step 3: Select a room and pay the returning student housing fee.
- Step 1 and 2 must be completed in order to complete Step 3.
- Room selection for returning students will begin at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2024,
and end at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024.
- Please note that if you do not see the residence hall of your choice, it means that there are no available bed spaces in that community. You will need to select from the bed spaces available.
NEW / TRANSFER STUDENTS – Please ensure the following items are completed before the listed selection and payment dates below:
Step 1: Complete your Fall 2024 Housing Application.
Step 2: The JSU Financial Aid office has received your 2024-25 FAFSA for the upcoming academic year. Please contact JSU Financial Aid at finaid@vardagslan.com. Student has received immunization clearance. Please contact JSU Student Health Services at healthservices@vardagslan.com.
Step 3: Select a room and pay $100 Non-Refundable Housing Application Fee. (Room payment and selection windows are listed below.)
- Please note that students must complete Steps 1 and 2 to complete Step 3.
- Room selection for new / transfer students will occur in various rounds.
- The Department of Housing and Residence Life cannot guarantee housing availability for each round. Should spaces become unavailable before a selection window opens, the Department will notify
applicants, cancel subsequent spaces, and notify applicants when spaces become available.
Selection and Payment Rounds for New / Transfer Students:
- Round 1: April 24, 2024
- Round 2: May 15, 2024
- Round 3: June 12, 2024
- Round 4: June 26, 2024
